Festive Pottery Painting Workshop with ceramic artist Becca Brown, suitable for beginners.
Join Becca Brown at two of our upcoming Makers Markets to paint your own porcelain bauble.

In this 1 hour workshop, decorate a pre-made porcelain bell that Becca hand built in her studio. After using underglazes to cover the bells in your own designs, they will be taken away and fired in the studio before being posted out to you in time to hang in your home over the festive season.
Suitable for all ages. All materials and postage is included in the cost of the workshop.
Embroidered Letter Workshop, with textile artist Lucy Freeman Design
Create your own embroidered letter keepsake.

Learn how to use four simple stitches to embroider your letter, creating your own unique design from the wide variety of templates and colours.
Lucy will also share her innovative framing method, where you cut around the embroidery to float within the frame. Choose between silver or brass frame, and finish with a velvet ribbon, ready to hang on the wall.
All materials are provided. We will start from the basics of threading a needle and so all abilities are welcome!
Bookbinding Workshop: Japanese Stab Binding
Create your own notebook with Concrete Nature

During this 90-minutes workshop you will learn how to create one Japanese stab binding notebook using colourful paper stocks and hand-marbled paper covers produce by Concrete Nature. All materials and tools will be provided, alongside with a useful instruction sheet with step by step instructions to help you along the way, and you will leave with your new notebooks ready to fill in!
This workshop is suitable for adults of all levels keen to learn about bookbinding in a relaxing and welcoming environment, no previous experience and skills are necessary.
Festive Pottery Workshop, hand build your own christmas goblet.
Spend a Saturday afternoon with Holly founder of Son of Pear pottery, for a festive clay workshop.
Create your own ceramic Christmas goblet or cup. Learn how to make a pinch pot and glaze in monotone. Your pot will then be fired at Hollys Edinburgh based studio. All equipment provided but bring an old top this one may be a little messy.

What happens to your pot? After the workshop Holly will take this back to her Edinburgh studio, put them all snug in the kiln and voila. It can take up to two weeks to process, if this is a gift and you’d like it for Christmas you will be able to pick up from Hollys studio, you can also for a small extra fee have them posted to you but this may arrive after christmas.
